If your puppy is shipped, you should purchase in advance, a tube of Nutri-Cal or Vita-Cal for when you meet him/her at the airport. Your locale vet or pet store should carry this. Soon as you pick up your puppy at the airport you can give him a little drop (pea size) on tongue to be safe. The first travel can be stressful, even though they are provided food and water during the flight, more then likely he/she was to scared to eat or drink. Therefore a couple of drops on tongue, a drink of water and plenty of love and reassurance will make him forget the flight right away. We will do the same upon taking him to airport.

You probably won’t experience low blood sugar with your particular puppy, but, in the event that you do, it is an emergency. A little bit of sugar, given to your dog in some form, may save his/her life. Nutricale, Vitacale, Karo syrup, pasterized honey (not raw) or a little suger directly into his/her mouth will help restore low blood sugar. If you leave your puppy for any extended period of time ensure that he/she has food available to eat while you are away. Best to see them eat, not just assume they ate even though it was left for them. Some Chihuahuas are nibblers who eat slowly and some are finicky, so make allowances for that and leave him/her with nutrition that is tempting enough to make him/her eat.

Once the puppy leaves our hands we are not responsible for any extra fee's that may occur during shipping.

~*~Is shipping a puppy safe?~*~

Yes, We have shipping puppies to nearly every state in the US, Alaska,Canada  without any problems.

~*~Is there anything I should bring when I go to the airport to pick up my new puppy?~*~

Yes, you will need to make sure you have a picture ID. Also you will want to bring a towel and a water bottle. He/She might be a little messy from the flight so you can clean him/her up. Also make sure you give them something to drink.

~*~What will come with my puppy when I pick him up from the airport?~*~

He/She will be in an airline approved carrier which is yours to keep. We also attach a food and water dish. The water is frozen so that it thaws slowly and provides the puppy with water throughout the flight. A bag of food is attached to the top of the carrier.
